It was quite a privilege to handle and photograph a "type specimen" from the Avian Cowan Tetrapod Collection today, a Lesser Goldfinch (Spinus psaltria) from Maria Magdelena, Tres Marias Islands, Mexico collected by Dr. Peter Larkin on March 1st 1961.
