Submitting my doctoral thesis on the 31st of August 2021 was a stepping stone that marked the end of three challenging years. I hope that my work entitled "The evolutionary roots of vocal learning: Exploring vocal learning abilities in vocal non-learners in birds" will advance our understanding of the evolution of vocal learning in animals. I will defend my thesis on March 9th, 2022. Unfortunately, no general audience is allowed to attend. But, I have estimated that most of my doctoral work will be published this year. Later this spring, I will also add an internet link to my thesis for interested readers.
