Windsor Science Impact Award

I would like to thank everyone for nominating me for the Windsor Science Impact Award and the Biology Department Chris Wysiekierski Memorial Scholarship. This award recognizes the development of tools, processes, initiatives, or programs that have been applied within the community and have had a positive impact. Founding and creating the Avian Taxidermy Club and bringing students, artists, scientists from the bird community together to the big screen to watch "The Messenger documentary" to support bird conservation was a wonderful experience. Getting to teach passionate young biologists the knowledge that was passed down from my mentor, Ildiko Szabo, curator of the avian collection at the Beaty Biodiversity Museum in Vancouver, Canada, was an honor. I am delighted to pass this knowledge along to the next generations of veterinarians, eye opticians, doctors, bird scientists, and artists.
